Wallops Flight Facility Industry Day

The Maryland Secretaries of Commerce, Labor, and Housing and Community Development will join personnel from MEDCO and NASA Wallops to discuss how strategic partnerships are unlocking new opportunities for growth on the Eastern Shore. Upcoming needs and projects at Wallops Flight Facility will be reviewed. This event provides an opportunity to engage with industry, state and federal representatives, and students!

The Industry Day aims to support critical tasks highlighted in the MOU that was signed between the Maryland Department of Commerce, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)’s Goddard Space Flight Center and the Maryland Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO). The three-year agreement supports growth in Maryland’s aerospace economy in the area surrounding Goddard, located in Greenbelt, and on the Lower Eastern Shore near the rocket launch site Wallops Flight Facility. Representatives from both NASA locations will be in attendance during the day.

Specifically, topics of focus and speakers will include;

• current opportunities at Wallops and capability needs
• how to do business with NASA Goddard
• engagement with Salisbury students
• local legislative panel on current policy issues
